My name is Lourdes and I have been a patient of Dr. Yao for the past five years, mostly for help with sinus infections. In July of 2018 I was diagnosed with Guillian Barre Syndrome which left me paralyzed from the neck down. I had physical and occupational therapy at the hospital and later at a rehabilitation center. After returning home, I continued with these therapies until the end of December 2018. At that time I could only take three or four steps with assistance and could not feed myself. On January 15, 2019 I had my first visit with Dr. Yao since getting sick with GBS, and I was able to walk that same day. It has been a year since I was diagnosed with GBS and I am almost back to my normal life. Dr. Yao’s acupuncture treatments have helped me to recover!

En Julio de 2018 fui diagnosticada con Guillian Barre Syndrome lo cual me dejo paralizada del cuello para abajo tuve terapia física y terapia ocupacional estando en el hospital y al estar en el centro de rehabilitación, y al regresar a casa seguí con las terapias hasta el fin de diciembre 2018 a este tiempo solo podía dar tres o cuatro pasos pero solo con ayuda, no podía ni comer por mi mima. El 15 de enero 2019 tuve mi primera cita con la doctora Yao y ese día empece a caminar. A un año de haber sido diagnosticada con ese síndrome ya estoy casi con mi vida normal!
